Together with the Canadian Institute of Steel Construction (CISC), ArcelorMittal Dofasco has published an industry-average Type III Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for cold formed steel panels and sections.
The EPD covers sheet steel construction products such as cladding, roofing, framing and deck products in compliance with the ISO 14040/44, ISO 14025 and ISO 21930 standards. It will help our partners and customers obtain a LEED point for disclosure of the industry-average Type III EPD document, and is valued as a half (1/2) product for purposes of credit achievement calculation. A summary of the CFS section and panel EPD can be found at this link on the CISC site, with the full version available upon request from the participating manufacturers.
The Corrugated Steel Pipe Institute has developed an EPD together with ArcelorMittal for corrugated steel conduit, and is available at this link. This industry-average EPD is also valued as half (1/2) a product for purposes of credit achievement calculation.
With the launch of XCarbTM, ArcelorMittal Dofasco has published following EPDs to highlight the benefits of recycled and renewably produced steel:
XCarb EPD for Cold Formed Sections
XCarb EPD for Corrugated Steel Pipe
XCarb EPD for Hollow Structural Sections
