Although primarily developed to support compliance with the federal Policy on Prioritizing Canadian Materials in Federal Procurements and the Standard on Embodied Carbon in Construction, the language can be adapted for use on a wide range of public and private sector projects seeking to incorporate Canadian steel requirements.

The package is intended to complement existing project specifications.
